“In a ‘Game Head’ video posted on Gametrailers.com, Epic Games’ VP Mark Rein announced that Mac versions of Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 3 are heading to the platform,” Tuncer Deniz reports for Inside Mac Games.
“Rein enthusiastically announces in the video,’And don’t forget, we’re also doing Macintosh. Yes, Gears is coming to the Mac and so is UT,'” Deniz reports.

Woohoo.
Sweet. My son’s head about exploded when he heard the news ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />
Can’t get here fast enough!
Big deal. They work for Windows too and I didn’t pay an arm and a leg for my hardware which kicks ass.
Your potential. Our passion.™
I geared with vengeance, once. It was unreal. And much like a tournament, I have to say. Nothing like “Game Head,” but it was enthusiastic.
big deal.
nothing beats world of warcraft
While I personally couldn’t care less, the more game providers that take the Mac platform seriously, the better for Apple. Now, let’s see how long it takes to become reality, as the devil is in the details as they say.
re: WoW. Couldn’t agree w/ you more. Saturday night I was in MC with my guild and everyone was reporting framerates less than 10 and my Macbook Pro was happily churning thorough at 20 to 30, even in the most crowded fights. Most of the time it was silky smooth.
how tedious, playing games… I suppose children have a right to own a Mac too
Games I like. You go Girl! Go big Mac
Apple just announced their new shooter game. It’s called Ultimate Unreal Ass Kicking and it goes to work on Windows. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />
Our Passion. You’re pathetic.
I don’t care I want Battle Girl for OS X…
I think this is a big stride for gaming on a Mac at least we dont have to rely on Blizzard anymore.
Lol indeed nothing comes close to WOW!
Right, Zune Tang,
PC gaming is so lame compared to Mac gaming, becuase you have that little 17 inch screen, while I’m livin’ large with a 30 inch monster!
Enjoy your postage stamp PC.
Warning: Off topic.
Microsoft patents the mother of all adware systems (arstechnica). Basically, Microsoft is prepared to rifle through all the data in your hard drive to serve you targeted ads.
The adware framework would leave almost no data untouched in its quest to sell you stuff. It would inspect “user document files, user e-mail files, user music files, downloaded podcasts, computer settings, computer status messages (e.g., a low memory status or low printer ink),” and more.
I’m waiting for Parallels to support DirectX 9…
@ Strogg, You are meant to capture Troll’s not feed them!
@ Holy Mackerel, Do you know the dangers DirectX can bring to your computer?
Zung Tang is loosing his effectiveness.
We need a real Microsoft fanboy. Not someone who poses as one. I simply don’t have the low moral/intelligence capacity to be a MS fanboy.
Meantime, that Moore man of the xbox has jumped ship like a rat to EA Games!
Expect EA Games to now start producing very expensive DRM stuffed XBox clones!!!!
Apple inc should be concerned by this developement!
e had games on pcs fer years oh yeh and 4 the faakin mac scum asswipez who po$t here noobz so their fukk u
expect these games to be Intel Mac only.
@”ms fanboy”: boi j00 sur told uz oof faakin gud an inteljint srsly lulz tipicle dumazz windoz uzer say hai to ur mom 4 me luzr
So what are you guys gonna play these games on? A $3,000 Mac Pro? There is no Macintosh for gamers. iMacs suck for games. Where is the real headless Mac? Not a Quad Xeon workstation!
Don’t know about you but the new 17inch hi res MBP is capable of any game.
“Capable” maybe. of playing any game CURRENTLY. And you paid $2500+ for that. So how many even casual PC gamers are going to consider the Mac platform? Zero.
If your computer does not have an upgradeable video card it sucks for gaming. And currently Apple does not even have 1 computer with an upgradeable video card for gaming. The Mac Pro you’d have to start with an X1950 and there is no where to go from there.
Therefore: Macs are too expensive and not for gaming.
“Don’t know about you but the new 17inch hi res MBP is capable of any game.”
Or go with with 15 inch for better portability. If you want a bigger screen, simply plug in another display when you want to game.
MDN word: rather. I’d rather have the smaller laptop and use a cheap large monitor for games.
