  1. My question is why I can”t find iBench to replicate Apple’s performance results. If it is so “industry standard” you would think such a tool would be readily available. Doe anyone know of a good benchmarking tool for web browsers?

  2. Incidentally, the marketing figures for how fast Safari is are completely bogus anyway, and another slight of hand by Apple’s superb marketing department. The benchmarks exploit a technicality in the order Safari loads page content and don’t represent an accurate measure of the rendering of a page. This article explains it all:

Never trust Apple marketing when it comes to claims of speed…

  3. is Safari 3.0.2 already in Software Update?

i fired up software update in my office pc and it didn’t seem to find an update for Safari.

i know i’m using a lemon (windows PC) but it still should show me the updates right?

has anybody successfully downloaded the update to Safari for windows?
