AT&T COO: Expectations for Apple iPhone are ‘too low,’ device will be a ‘game changer’

“AT&T Inc. Chief Operating Officer Randall Stephenson said expectations are ‘too low” for Apple Inc.’s iPhone, which his phone company will start selling next month,” Crayton Harrison reports for Bloomberg.

“‘I believe the iPhone is going to be a game changer,’ Stephenson said today at an investor conference in New York,” Harrison reports. “I don’t know what your expectations are for the iPhone, but I would tell you they’re probably too low at this point.'”

Roger Cheng reports for Dow Jones Newswires, “The executive said that more than 1 million people have expressed interest in purchasing the iPhone and that the buzz continues to build.”

Cheng reports, “Wireless is the key product to gain ownership of the home, since it’s the most personal buying decision for the consumer. ‘It’s a reflection of your personality, how you live, and how you communicate,’ he said.”
