  1. Never had a Tiger crash on the iBook, and have only had two kernel panics on the Intel iMac (and the last one was about 4 months ago, a couple of months after I got the system).

Preparing to install (meaning I’m backing up my system to the external drive, after which I’ll repair permissions), just in case (MW magic word!).

Love Tiger, and looking forward to Leopard…

  2. DAMMM YOU APPLE!!!!

Good thing I clone my boot drive before experimenting with these crappy updates.

I can’t use iTunes Store now.

    DAMMMMMMM!

    DOUBLE DAMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!

I want to USE MY COMPUTER and not BE A FRIGGING SLAVE TO BUNK UPDATES!!!

Lay off the damm bloat Apple!!! iTunes 7 sucks!

  3. What’s the deal with the Freehand bashing? It’s a great program, and does not deserve its soon-to-be-orphaned status.

The only problem I have with Freehand MX on Tiger is the lack of grouping fonts by family (I miss Adobe Type Reunion), and a weird refusal to see a couple of fonts every other program on my machine can see fine!

  4. Am downloading my 22MB update as we speak. Yeah, yeah, I know, I should get the combo updater!

Anyhow, the iChat problem was solved on my computer by making sure all the necessary ports were open in my Sharing prefs, there’s about 20 of them! And, doing the necessary port forwarding on my wireless router. Having talked to one other person about this, it may just take turning off the router’s firewall that temporarily solves the iChat SIP problem, which tends me to believe it’s a portforwarding issue in the wireless router.

  5. Yeah, this update just crashed my MacBook! So the first thing I know I have to do is go find someone elses computer, login to MacDailyNews.com and post a ranting complaint. Then maybe I’ll try to repair my computer.

    Sure… I’m calling BS.

  6. I just used Dashboard Translator to translate this in Japanese (from a previous post):

    今では変換の仕掛は極度の大変で幸せな楽しみの喜びの喜びである!

    into:

Now as for setting up the conversion extremeness being serious, it is the joy of the happy pleasantly straw raincoat joy

    That’s am improvement?
