Never had a Tiger crash on the iBook, and have only had two kernel panics on the Intel iMac (and the last one was about 4 months ago, a couple of months after I got the system).
Preparing to install (meaning I’m backing up my system to the external drive, after which I’ll repair permissions), just in case (MW magic word!).
Love Tiger, and looking forward to Leopard…
DAMMM YOU APPLE!!!!
Good thing I clone my boot drive before experimenting with these crappy updates.
I can’t use iTunes Store now.
DAMMMMMMM!
DOUBLE DAMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!
I want to USE MY COMPUTER and not BE A FRIGGING SLAVE TO BUNK UPDATES!!!
Lay off the damm bloat Apple!!! iTunes 7 sucks!
I meant Dashbird
@pissed off
can you give us more details?
Don’t know what all the complaining is about–I downloaded the latest database intel from p3x-298, and my new Ancient fonts are beautiful. Just can’t please some people I guess…
Hey, it changed the dock icon for iTunes back to green. Yay! I hated the blue.
10.4.8 ….
only 1 more update number left in the stack before 10.5
Hmmmm ….
Makes me wonder if apple will be releasing 10.5 in January.
Um, no, they could release 10.4.10 if they wanted to….
Mac OS X 10.5 is said to be released by November. Now that’s the news!
seems to hang on the diskarb kext. booting in safe mode works.
Never had any problems with updates. Tiger’s great (seems a little RAM hungry, but I have enough now). Running 10.4.8. Works great so far.
This OS update made my dog sick and gave me gas, but otherwise it’s running great and Safari seems snappier than before.
What’s the deal with the Freehand bashing? It’s a great program, and does not deserve its soon-to-be-orphaned status.
The only problem I have with Freehand MX on Tiger is the lack of grouping fonts by family (I miss Adobe Type Reunion), and a weird refusal to see a couple of fonts every other program on my machine can see fine!
Am downloading my 22MB update as we speak. Yeah, yeah, I know, I should get the combo updater!
Anyhow, the iChat problem was solved on my computer by making sure all the necessary ports were open in my Sharing prefs, there’s about 20 of them! And, doing the necessary port forwarding on my wireless router. Having talked to one other person about this, it may just take turning off the router’s firewall that temporarily solves the iChat SIP problem, which tends me to believe it’s a portforwarding issue in the wireless router.
Aperture 1.5 update is out too. 125MB. Am downloading now through Apple software update.
Yeah, this update just crashed my MacBook! So the first thing I know I have to do is go find someone elses computer, login to MacDailyNews.com and post a ranting complaint. Then maybe I’ll try to repair my computer.
Sure… I’m calling BS.
I understand this update is for compatibility with the new Powerbook G5
Wow! Safari is definitely snappier!
I hope this update makes the Whoopee Cushion widget more responsive.
“• RAW camera support”
So, what camera’s have been added to the list?
They still haven’t replaced that crappy finder. 🙁
I never had 10.3 Panther, love 10.4 Tiger, looking forward to 10.5 Leopard, can’t wait for 1.8.69 Pussy Galore!
MW:purpose, as in -this has not one.
I just used Dashboard Translator to translate this in Japanese (from a previous post):
今では変換の仕掛は極度の大変で幸せな楽しみの喜びの喜びである!
into:
Now as for setting up the conversion extremeness being serious, it is the joy of the happy pleasantly straw raincoat joy
That’s am improvement?
Did anyone else notice reduced mouse speed with the update? The tracking seems slower to me, a lot slower.
This update tastes just like chicken!
(MDNMW – try = Try a wing!)
