Has anyone else had a problem with their cursor disappearing while reading a few MDN articles? This page doesn’t seem to have the same problem.
Finally! Took them long enough.
“Duper”
my cursor in Safari disappears when I place it near the “Back One Page” arrow. This occurs some times and not just with MDN. But only with Safari.

Yeah, but I think its the ad on the top that’s causing it. Its happening now when I load up this page and the same with the Mossberg article. I think it must be caused by those “ads by Google” on the top left, because it disappears around there. I guess those ads don’t like Safari.
Flip4Mac doesn’t work at all. It’s screwed up my WMA streams, so even WMP won’t work.
So far all the Flip for Mac stuff has been more buggy than MS media player..
Be sure to inspect the package before installing for anything that may phone home to Microsoft.
IT’S ABOUT FLIPPIN TIME

WMP and flip4mac don’t get along. install one or the other but not both.
As for playing streams I have had numerous issues with flip4mac. most notably it can’t handle some streams in real time. It must be said that this is a fault with flip4mac and the WM codec’s.
Just blame MSFT as usual it’s their fault for producing shoddy products
I don’t know why some people seem to be having trouble with Flip4Mac. It’s been nothing but a godsend to me. It works great, and has better features than the old, P.O.S. Microsoft WiMP for Mac. For one thing, I can “scrub” the video to find the part I want to see. For another, it shows loading progress like QuickTime.
The official version still doesn’t work on so many sites. It is buggy as hell. Man, do they program this thing with a bunch of high school students in some garage somewhere? Someone should tell them their “official” software is like most company’s “alpha” versions….
Flip4Mac works perfectly for me. Never had an issue (though I did scrap WMP).
the old version of flipformaac for ppc works great for me. i love the ability to watch the bizaree stuff on the “net”
Thank God! Now all we need is MS Office and Sibelius and I will be a happy camper.
i absolutely love Flip4Mac…i’ve been using the beta that could be installed on intel macs, and as soon as i get home i’m downloading this new one. fsck that wmp garbage. can’t scroll through video to select a spot to watch from. freakin’ ridiculous. good riddance!
Question – Does the new version work any better than the last version?
The old version was full of crap – opps I’m sorry – I forgot it’s a M$ product – what was I thinking!
M$ = QUALITY — that will be the day!
FKTAWDS!!
Flip4Mac is M$ code, so don’t expect it to work.
Also when you visit websites, your browser type is logged as well if you watched the content.
Your just helping M$ crap take over by not standing up and supporting the superior Quicktime format that comes installed on every Mac.
Far as i’m concerned, your a fscking M$ traitor like those OfficeSmac losers. (got exploits? hehehe)
I just love these sites that let you choose, either QT, WMP or Realplayer. Choice is good. M$ is bad. Apple is good. Linux is good.
Obey and be happy.
I don’t know about the intel version of flip4mac but the old one is ok on my mac. I hate WMP video, with its fuzzy images and lousy streaming (when it works). Flip4mac has its bugs, but works for the most part. I use it to look at WMP but I always send off a email to the offending site that Quicktime is the preferred format for this surfer.
Oh by the way Flip4mac is not made by Micro$oft.
The latest Flip4Mac is a disaster for watching streaming video. It simply does not work right with CNN Pipeline, for example. It caches the stream and replays it over and over, and the live stream never starts. Apparently, they didn’t bother to test it before releasing it.
I’ve disabled it for WMV Internet plug-in in System Preferences and gone back to WMP.
