  1. Joe somebody: I can do better than that. I hereby initiate a ‘strong buy’ recommendation on aapl, with a target price of $60. That way, I cover my %#@, and still make headlines. Just don’t ask me when it’ll cross the $60 barrier, because it will probably happen a bunch of times going each way. I will only add that my recommendations are for very long term investors. How’s that for going out on a limb?

  2. And for Steve Jobs sake why is it rated a Strong Buy?

Is it just so this JMP Securities can sell off their Apple stock which is tanking rather fast lately?

The big “PowerMac G5”, the “X-Serve G5” and “iPod” buying sprees are over. Repeat OVER.

The US economy is not doing so well because the cost of living is getting insane.

If Apple comes out with a Cell based Mac Pro and X-Servers, then hold on to your hat kiddies the stock is going to fly!!!

If it’s just Intel processors, forget it, everyone will have these processors and can undercut each other and Apple.

Mac OS X alone is not enough to move Apple hardware, the Cell+ is coming, the Cell+ is coming!!!

  3. Mesh, get a life. Maybe you’re life is tanking, and yes the G5 machines are history, but many of us are experiencing business growth and I KNOW there is pent up demand for new Pro Mac, Intel powered machines. My company postponed buying me a G5 Quad last year so this year I get to buy two new Pro Macs when they appear. We need machines with multiple fast internal hard disks for Final Cut and ProTools work.

Your psycho babble about cell processors in Macs is total bunk, it’s never going to happen.

Other companies can undercut Apple on price, so what? It means nothing. Apple customers pay more and GET more.

The Cell is coming? Sheesh, you’ve been reading way too many IBM press releases.
