Apple-sponsored race car spotted in Pixar’s ‘Cars’ movie

“I went to see Pixar’s ‘Cars’ on Friday. It was a tremendous movie. At the beginning, I thought it would be hard to watch these cars as people. By it didn’t take long to feel attached to these great characters. The part when James Taylor is singing can even be a bit emotional,” FreeMacBlog reports. “In the opening race of the movie, I thought I caught a glimpse of an Apple car. I thought it strange because there is no other product placement in the whole movie. So, when I got home I grabbed the movie on line (for research sake) and sure enough, there is the Apple car. And even more fitting, the number on the car was 84. Pretty cool!”

  1. Ahh yes sublimitable program the young children in the Apple cult!!

Next Apple will place them in segrated housing dorms in iPod factory “cities” where they will work for below minimum wage so they can NEVER ESCAPE!!

    Muhahahahalala!! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />

    (I’m just kidding)

  2. Trailing behind the Apple car is a Windows car, struggling to keep up with it because it’s contantly making pit-stops to install new components and clean the gunk out of the fuel injectors.

Off to the side, not even in the race, is the Creative Labs car. It has no intention of competing — it’s just going to let the Apple car win and then sue it for infringing on its tire patent.

At the finish line is a group of French protestors who claim that proprietary technology isn’t fair and that everyone should get a turn driving the Apple car.

  3. Nope, no need to wonder at all. The counterfeit market is in full swing on this one. The kiddies were out filming it clandestinely the moment it first screened, then high-tailed it home to encode it onto their machine, uploading it to any one of a number “sharing” sites and it’s out there.

  4. Hey we didn’t have nearly the copywright protection there is now before the 60’s. It’s way out of control. Maybe sharing is just a bit of deserved backlash for turning into such an ownership culture. That will only prove true if ownership fever drops in other areas, and cooperation and collaboration take on a pre-history mentality.
