Why does posting these stories from across the world immediately have to turn into politics? This is about opening another outlet for Apple stuff in a part of the world where there are few of them. Shouldn’t that please you people?

I am more disgusted by the Palestinians Muslim brothers like Iran and Syria. They should be welcoming these fellow Muslims into their country with open arms, but instead prefer to use them as a pawn in their fight to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth (as the oh so tolerant leader of Iran proclaimed recently). Jane, as a woman, if you lived in Iran, or Syria you would have practically NO RIGHTS under MUSLIM law. These are opressive theocracies. And let’s not forget that the Palestinians voted in an openly TERRORIST government. How can Israel possibly sit down and negotiate peace with people who are firmly commited to killing every single Jew in existence? Easy – they can’t.

It’s not a “Apple Store”. It’s a MacStore Apple Center, run and operated by Apple IMC Middle East. They are not Apple, they are an independent marketing company, selling Apple products, under a contract with Apple. Compare the store with US Apple Stores if you must but the simple fact is you would be comparing two very different things.
And to start talking politics, religion and all of that other stuff is just uncalled for. This is some photos that some dude took at the opening of another store where people, like us, can buy Apple stuff. I know the Middle East doesn’t have many outlets for Apple stuff, especially Macs, and this is good news. The interest in Macs is rising in the ME and I’m sure this store will be successful.
I totaly agree with the fact that people should srsly think about what they say before they post it, this isent a form about Jews, Muslims, Hindus or whaterver, its about an Apple shop opening so plz keep religouse, or political oppinions to yourself.

Of course.
But Israel’s foreign policy is to defend itself against invasions. And their treatment of the (Arab) Palestinians is a function of the Arabs’ treatment of Jews and Israelis.
So, yes, I assume you can be disgusted by Israel’s foreign policy and Israel’s treatment of “Palestinians” and not be an anti-Semite.
But the only way I see that this is possible is if you are ignorant of what Israel’s foreign policy is and if you ignore why Israel treats the “Palestinians” as it does.
