Is the speed vastly different from the powerbook?

You won’t know about battery life until the MBP’s are used for a few charge/discharge cycles, only then a laptop battery reaches it’s capacity!
You’ll have to wait and see the reports…or buy one yourself ;o)

Wow, I havn’t felt this inclined to buy a new Mac since I laid eyes on the G5. Only I didn’t have enough money for it, but that was alright, because then WWDC happened and I decided to wait, so I opted for a mini to tide me over- gee whiz, I’m sure glad I waited.
Now I do have the money to get one of these- only I’m going to wait til after Apple’s 30th Birthday to get something….
