  1. Not to be outdone, Microsoft has created a “Universal Windows” logo. It is a steaming pile of poo. If you see this logo, you know that it will run on Windows, and it will run like shit.

  2. Ya know – I just don’t like the MAC logo. I just don’t. I think it should have been changed when the conversion took place from OS9 to OSX.

It actually looks like it should have stayed in the 80s. The one smiley face, 2 faces, one adult, one kid…. just end it all and come up with a sweet logo for today’s Mac…

Okay, done venting, have to breathe now…

  3. “Now we gotta make the best of it, improvise, adapt to the environment, Darwin, **** happens, I Ching, whatever man, we gotta roll with it.”

    It’s almost like “Plays for Sure”… ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />

  4. “Play nice with the Windows sufferers, er, ah, users. Yeah, that’s it, I meant ‘users’.”

You’ve heard the joke right? There are only 2 industries that call their customers “users” — technology companies and drug dealers

  5. Steveo a Buddhist? Gates an agnostic, Stevo a Buddhist, Ballmer a fat, hairy primate? What gives? I guess carbon-based Christian homo sapiens just ain’t meant to get rich. Buddhist liberal democrat? Yikes! Still gotta love him!

Anyhow, will it be universal binary forever for Intel-based Macs only or will there eventually be Intel-only binary. I suppose in a couple years as power pc becomes less supported and a smaller fraction of the installed base.

  6. What kind of “users” exactly are Windows users? Seems to me they’re more like drug-users, tied to something obviously harmful, yet powerless to stop themselves. If that’s the case, I think they’ve just been used.

  7. imaki,
my guess is that itll be for a long time before they ever stop to encourage universal binaries. you never know , if IBM come out with a killer patented technology in a few years or a few months even (its posssible), that could blow intel out of the water in performance. this way, we wont be left behind again, well just switch over to ibm chips again and no problem, the os and the apps will just run.

  8. It’s the shoulder patch of the 29th Division, a Maryland Virginia National Guard division ( hence the Blue and Gray) with an illustrious combat record. It landed at Omaha Beach on D-Day and suffered great losses.
