Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!
As we enter the holiday weekend news slowdown, we can all look forward with anticipation to Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ opening keynote address for Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 9am PST. The news (rumor-laden most probably) will undoubtedly build next week as we count down the day to the event. We can hardly wait!
We’ll continue to post as time, disparate Internet connections, and the news permits this holiday weekend.
Thank you for visiting MacDailyNews throughout the year and making MDN a part of your day. We really appreciate it.
Merry Christmas!! I love this site. I also just ordered a Quad G5 – can’t wait!!
Neil
I’m waiting for Christmas 2.0 at Macworld.

Merry Holidays and Happy Festivus to all
Blah Humbug to everybody except MDN.
I just can’t bring myself to say Merry Christmas.
What the heck, Merry Christmas!!!
Happy Birthday!
Tis Christmas Eve afternoon down here in NZ we are a day ahead of the rest of the planet!, Merry Christmas to all from The Land Of The Long White Cloud – Aoteoroa – (Maori) name for New Zealand.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! Thanks for another fun year in the MDN playground. 2006 is going to be even better I think!
I must admit that it does feel really good to see the words “Merry Christmas” in the MDN headline. We sent out Christmas Cards to our clients this year that featured Santa Claus sitting in a chair (our company logo is a Director’s Chair, so we were playing it up this way). A few of my employees asked me if I was okay with Santa being associated with our company, and if I was worried about offending any of our clients. That was the last straw for me, personally. I had been going out of my way to say Happy Holidays, Happy Hannukah, Happy Ramadan – but never Merry Christmas – for many, many years. So I went with my gut and kept the Santa and sent them out. Man, you should have seen the immediate reaction from our clients. I mean, overwhelming responses came flooding in that screamed “Merry Christmas!” back to us. It felt really, really good to hear it from them.
I know there are other religions out there that we have been taught to be sensitive to, and by and large it seems that most people respect this, but others need to be sensitve to Christmas as well. Just my two cents

Merry Christmas!
Ho Ho Ho . . . Happy Holidays ! ! !
Ho Ho Ho . . . Happy Holidays ! ! !
Yeah, thanks MDN.
But who are you guys? Who are we thanking — is it just one dude and a laptop?
Well, it is after all, Christmas, so a merry one to you. Lest we be too weary of misrepresenting a holiday, on St. Patrick’s day I might wish “Happy Drinking to all, and to all a good night!”, or on St. Valentine’s day, should we not include the people without rosy red hearts? Forbid we celebrate Columbus day without recognizing other explorers, or be so bold as to proclaim New Year’s as January 1’st (anyone chinese?)?. So I know Veteran’s day, and I never served, and Memorial Day, which I didn’t serve and plus I’m still alive! I celebrate Labor Day, even though I was between jobs last year, and the Fourth of July is just the day after the third in Australia. So, after all, December 25’th is Christmas, and I will celebrate it though I’m not a christian, put St. Paddy’s is 83 days away, and I’m Irish, so Happy Hannakuh!!
What slow news cycle?
The NY attorney genera has subpoena the record labels to search for evidence of price fixing of digital downloads.
This is directly related to the pressure on iTunes to increase prices.

MDN MW= “sales” !!
“But who are you guys? Who are we thanking — is it just one dude and a laptop?”
Bill, it is obvious to me that at least 3 people post MDN takes and opinion. First, the foul mouthed boy, second, his adult lover, and third, Steve Jack.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a new Mac.

Ruby: Steve Jack is just a patsy.
Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Santa (and to all in MDN-land)
Merry Christmas and a very happy and safe Holiday season to MDN and everyone else, wherever you may be.
Where’s the smiley with reigndeer antlers?

Nuclear Kid,
Here Here! Down with political correctness! Up with Santa!
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza, Festivus, or anything else, I say Merry Christmas to you and yours, and all the best in the new year.
On the eve of Christmas, these few thoughts are my wish list-
1- Comfort to those who are separated from those they love.
2- Food for those who are hungry.
3- Relief for those in pain.
4- Freedom for those not allowed to be free.
5- Rest for the weary.
6- Grace for those full of fear.
7- A little more civility among us all.
8- Peace for all of the world, regardless of who you are, where you are from or whatever god you pray to (or not).
The rest is just gravy…
Thanks MDN, whether you are one guy -or gal- and a laptop, and even if you turn out to be the chief programmer for Microsoft Explorer. Who cares?
You give us the forum with, at times:
-the funniest posts
-the most informative posts
-the most foul mouthed posts
-the most insightful posts
-the most political posts
and even the dumbest posts.
Whatever it is, and you are, its great stuff and I wish you and all the other zealots like me as well as Jobbsy and Ivy and all the lovely guys and girls at Apple, a very Happy Christmas!
Happy Holidays!
I’d send you an iCard, but why not just post something.
I love you people
Hauskaa Joulua (From Joutsa, Finland!)
Merry Christmas and thanks for all the good information sent our way last year! Looking forward to 2006!
Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays to MDN and to all.
Be safe!
Thanks MDN!!!
Peace.
M/W: first. As I really don’t mind the “First Post” nonsense. If it floats some people’s boats, more power to them.
Happy Holidays to y’all!
Thank you MDN so much for what you have done for us! Look forward to hearing MORE and MORE from MDN in 2006!
