Apple today released QuickTime 7.0.2 (33.2 MB) which “delivers numerous important bug fixes and compatibility enhancements. This update is highly recommended for all QuickTime 7 users,” according to Apple.
QuickTime 7.0.2 is available to Mac OS X users via Software Update.
Wow – I just installed it and everything is much snappier!
I hope it stops washing out the video when converting streams to MPEG-4.
What’s the deal with the two Help menu options?
Does it work with DivX yet?
No, does DivX work with QUICKTIME yet ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />
Im perturbed that Apple hasnt upgraded the quality of the keynote streams. QT7 works great on everything else, but the streams still seem like QT5 in quality. Something needs to be done.
I just downloaded and installed and the experience of viewing is just crap.
Stuttering vision, broken and distorted audio. Stops for up to five or six seconds on full screen.
Anyone else getting this?
The new QT works great for me. Looks great too. I’ve had it stutter before when I had the download set for to great a speed. Reducing the bit rate stopped the stuttering.
Will it play AVI files now?
Download the DivX codecs for it, and it will play AVI files. There’s even a website for DivX codecs where they’re available for free. It’s not difficult, and they work.
