AC Research analyst: Apple’s Q4 2005 guidance ‘too conservative,’ reiterates ‘accumulate’ rating

“Analyst Henning Wagener of AC Research reiterates his ‘accumulate’ rating on Apple Computer,” newratings.com reports. “Apple Computer’s PC sales increased from 876,000 to 1.2 million units, the analyst says. This implies that the company’s PC sales grew three times faster than the broader PC market, the analyst points out. Apple Computer was, therefore, able to stop the erosion of its PC market share, the analyst mentions.”

“AC Research does not consider Apple Computer’s stock inexpensive,” newratings.com reports. “On the other hand, the strong sales development of the iPod music player is expected to continue throughout the forthcoming months, the analyst says. Apple Computer’s guidance for the fourth quarter appears too conservative, and the company could positively surprise the financial markets, the analyst believes.”
