  1. Everyone stay away from Newmanstein when the pants come off. It won’t be a pretty sight. But supposedly the run will only last for 3 to 5 revolutions so it should all be over shortly.

  2. Ironically, what PC Wintel users have left to do to be excited about computing nowadays?
    WAITING FOR STEVE JOBS KEYNOTES

LOL, ROFLMAO, all the PC heads I know around here are excited almost as I am. Says a lot about how much a Wintel PC sucks!

  3. Over the past 5 years, each one of Steve’s keynotes have blown me away, so this year I’m taking preemptive action and I have installed a 5-point seat belt harness onto my chair. Besides, after the keynote, I could always use it on my boyfriend to secure him for…

  4. Something has got to give with all this tension!

First the waiting for the release of OS X Tiger. Hanging around my front porch waiting for the UPS dude. And now this potential watershed moment in my Mac life!

Damd this waiting and suspense! Damd it all to hell!

  5. Good point, BTW! When was the last time Windows IT geeks were ever excited about anything?

I can’t imagine what it must be like to be trapped in a Windows-addicted company and see Steve’s keynote? Anything Steve shows today will be too late for Microsoft to incorporate into Longhorn, so their users must wait at least 3 years to ever see it on their own desk. The best Microsoft can do is continue with their flood of hollow ads.

I think Apple’s best advertising is the tremendous buzz that is created and invades the IT world like a wild fire. This form of info has much more validity than any self-promoting ad could possibly do.

  6. yeah, I was just thinking that if Jobs announces an Intel deal, the boos will be very loud… I guess we’ll have to see. Jobs, the salesman, had better make this a worthwhile announcement or many of the Mac faithful may be turned off.

Sure it’s the OS. But if the OS is designed to run on Power PC chips, this could make computing a nightmare…

  7. I wonder if there is anything hiding in Tiger, secretly switched on in 10.4.1, that Steve will announce.

With .Mac being down for “system maintenance” right in the middle of the day during Steve’s chat, there MUST be something afoot… something huge!

  8. TYK, it is VERY possible that Intel could be making a G5- dual or G6 CPU that has NOTHING to do with their other chips. Don’t get so hung up on the manufacturing company; it’s the x86 CPU (Pentium family) that sucks!

  9. when was the last time Windows IT geeks were ever excited about anything?

when they found out ‘Trusted Computing’ can’t be trusted, and SP2 was a slightly more resilient version of swiss cheese and they could all keep their jobs as IT specialists?

  10. Since Ive never thought it important to keep up with Intel … could someone tell me if they have finally produced a 64-bit processor which does not catch fire yet ??

Otherwise … with all the hype we are currently hearing about The Big Apple switch to Intel… just doesnt make sense !

    MW = waiting … how fitting !

  11. See the mantra shift from

Intel sucks Intel sucks Intel sucks

    to

    x86 sucks x86 sucks x86 sucks

C’mon! The dice haven’t even been cast yet!

Until after the keynote announces that Macs will run on Intels, the party line is ‘Intel sucks’, you hear?!

  12. ThinkSecret claims “Apple is not offering a QuickTime or satellite feed of today’s keynote”.

MDN says they will have the feed.

    What’s up?

    ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grrr” style=”border:0;” />

  13. Expect to hear how well sales are going for the 1st half an hour…and see all the hype you’re actually waiting for relegated to the “one more thing” show.

  14. And what a sad day that will be for you, “stantheman”. For who will you have to focus your bitter, angry, hatred?

I’m not worried, though. You’ll find something else to hate. After all, the only alternative is to find contentment with your own life, and for such a pathetic bitter man such as yourself, that’s not really an option, is it?
