Apple releases Mac OS X 10.3.9 Update, Mac OS X Server Update 10.3.9

Apple today released Mac OS X 10.3.9 Update which delivers overall improved compatibility and reliability for Mac OS X v10.3 “Panther” and is recommended for all users.

Improvements include:
• file sharing and directory services reliability for mixed Mac and PC networks
• Mail, Safari and Stickies application reliability
• compatibility for third party applications and devices
• previous standalone security updates

Mac OS X 10.3.9 Update is available via Software Update.

• AFP performance when listing large files and directories
• update to Cyrus version 2.2.10 for more reliable email message storage
• reliability of Ethernet communications on Xserve
• compatibility for third party applications and devices
• previous standalone security updates
