Apple Store Danbury Fair Mall, Connecticut popular with customers

“Sitting on a black squishy ball chair, Alex Dolan, 16, played games on an Apple computer, enjoying the hip and interactive atmosphere of the new Apple Store at the Danbury Fair mall. Later, he looked at the eMac, a computer that has a faster processor and more memory than the iMac he has had since sixth grade. ‘It is pretty cool you can try stuff out,’ said Dolan, a Newtown High School junior,” Heather Barr reports for The News-Times.

“The store, which opened Oct. 30, is the second Apple Store in Connecticut. The other is at Westfarms Mall in West Hartford. It is the 95th store in the country. The first Apple Store opened in May 2001 in Virginia. Some 500 people waited in line for the Danbury store to open. Apple Store manager Kendra Telhiard, 35, of Bethel, arrived at 8 a.m. for its 10 a.m. opening and saw the line. Some mall-goers who saw the crowds wondered if someone famous was there, she said… The Danbury Apple Store is open Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.,” Barr reports.
