  1. lol.
That price is insane, there is a company called Ceelox that makes software which can do much more for PC users and for much cheaper.
I figure no one here is interested but ill give you all the link anyway.

Its not the prettiest software, but it really does let you sync your entire desktop and application settings to any external device that you wish, and it does it well. I have a feeling that they are working on developing a cross platform version to work BETWEEN windows/mac/linux. THAT would be something, especially if it could keep all that Malware from synchronizing. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />

  2. Why the heck did Apple drop Home on the iPod anyway. That would be a really neat thing to have. I guess they can still add anything they want to Tiger though and it seems like they have the solution all ready and sitting in a drawer. Makes you wonder what other amazing things are gathering dust in the closets at Cupertino.

  3. why spend any money?

Just mount the iPod as a HD and move all your important directory and files to the iPod and replace the original files with links. It does the same thing. You then have everything you need with you on your iPod.

  4. I’ve been doing that with Carbon Copy Cloner since my first iPod. At my college’s Mac Labs, before my school switched to OS X and Photoshop 6 etc, I was the only one running OS X and PS 6 with my own copy of my OS booting from my iPod.

There are plenty of other 3rd party iPod backup utilities. This is nothing new to us Mac users.

So you were “the only one”..

    But it’s “nothing new”..

I see. Well, I’ve spoken to hundreds of Mac owners who could use this service, and NONE of them had heard of this technique.

And these are New York, Mac users in animation, music, art production, etc. Sure, some techies are hip too it, but a LOT of people who could use it, want, it, and don’t know how to do it themselves.

A LOT of people know how to change the oil in their car, too, but they don’t.
