“Linux advocates often pride the operating system to be more secure than Windows but this claim could have attracted the unwanted attention of the hacking community,” Angus Kidman reports for CNETAsia. “An analysis of hacker attacks on online servers in January by U.K.-based security consultancy mi2g found that Linux servers were most frequently hit, accounting for 13,654 successful attacks, or 80 percent of the survey total. Windows came in a distant second with 2,005 attacks.”
“A detailed analysis of government servers also found Linux to be more susceptible, accounting for 57 percent of all security breaches… the sharp rise in Linux breaches probably reflects a lack of training and deployment expertise rather than inherent security problems within Linux, mi2g officials suggested,” Kidman reports.
“According to the study, the most secure OS turned out to BSD (Berkley Software Distribution) and Mac OS X,” Kidman reports.

“Please,
If this was true; IT people would be using an Apple OS.
The fact is they rely on Windows.”
Has nothing to do with anything but job security. They all know that if they woke up tomorrow with a building full of Apple computers, 2/3rds of them would be looking for another job as soon as the rest of the employees started to realize that they didn’t need an IT army anymore. (this has been proven over and over again in the past decade of studies) Macs cost 1/3 or less to operate than their Wintel counterparts. If you want to live in denial, that doesn’t change reality.
Go ahead and continue living in your Wintel dream world. Businesses who are truly interested in maximizing their computer hardware/maintenance dollars are already running Macs under OS X.
Those who THINK Window is their only choice must enjoy pissing away their profits unnecessarily. No wonder so many of them file for Chapter 11 daily.
yayaya
i don’t no what os is the most secured
BUT
has any1 thought of Apple being the reason Microsoft
being so dominate?
by not licensing there os to other servers
there is no choice for other computer makers
but to go to windows.
linux is no user friendly
windows is user friendly enough
and Apple os is the most user friendly
so could it be that sometime in the FUture
that Apple could be sued for not licensing there os
and letting Microsoft dominate with there flaw os
or maybe the other computer makers could just come out with there own os
