  1. A PowerPC-only new game release? Wow, these guys don’t have their heads up their butts at all.

It looks like they designed it to run on G4 iBooks – I wonder if the MacBook’s integrated graphics will be adequate, once they make a universal binary…

  2. “So MacBook/Mini owners are SOL?”

Hey, stop whining! Remember that these MacBooks and minis weren’t designed for playing games. They’re just for accessing the web, email, etc.

That’s what everybody said when I bitched about the crappy graphics…

  3. “Remember that these MacBooks and minis weren’t designed for playing games. They’re just for accessing the web, email, etc.”

…But the MacBook replaces both the iBook G4 and the 12″ PowerBook, both which had dedicated graphics and both which are officially supported by this new game.

I also noticed that although Apple used to state that the Intel integrated graphics of the mini is great for playing the latest games, they’ve quietly deleted that part of the page. LOL

  4. I’ve played the Nintendo DS version of Cars aswell.. and its the most crappy car game ive ever played. I went back to the store and got a refund.
The game hasn’t even got a proper racing track to race in it. Its nothing like the PC version.

  5. I just bought a Nintendo DS Lite man this is the coolest handheld I have ever owned. It was between this and the PSP. Didn’t take me long to chose once I played with the DS Lite a little. It sits very nicely next to my ipod and powerbook.

  6. Apparently you are all talking out your ass. This game runs as expected, very well, on my 20″ Core Dou iMac.

Never take something at face value without first verifing those reporting. Trust but verify

  7. Tried to download the demo for my three year old son. It does not work on a brand new Mac Book Pro. Yes I used the patch. The patch causes it to ask me to insert the original game disk. It does work on my G4 Mini but skips the instructions page so fast that I can’t read it. Somebody did ZERO QA for this thing.
