“Apple has released tvOS 11.3 for both Apple TV 4 and Apple TV 4K,” Zac Hall reports for 9to5Mac.
“For Apple TV 4 users, the new update includes frame rate matching features that were previously only available on Apple TV 4K,” Hall reports.
The update introduces enhancements to Match Content support, automatic frame rate switching on the fourth-generation Apple TV (a feature that was added to Apple TV 4K in a past update), and automatic mode switching for AirPlay video sessions.
The TV app, designed to let users find and watch television shows and movies aggregated from entertainment apps, is expanding to Brazil and Mexico. Brazil is also gaining Siri support on Apple TV 4K and the fourth-generation Apple TV.

MacDailyNews Take: All of our Apple TV 4K units updated and work just fine.
Please tell me they added some type of screensaver control settings for the 4K. Sick of Dubai aerials!!!
iOS 11.3 is out now as well. I’ll withhold the release notes for MDN to post.
… Already posted!
– Well then, iTunes 12.7.4 is also out!
– And so is Apple Configurator 2.7.
– So, how about that finished version of macOS 10.13.4?
It returns support for Fusion drives, RIGHT?!
*grumble*grumble*
And watchOS 4.3
And Xcode 9.3
So I don’t understand automatic frame rate. I watched some British shows and the frame rate sucks! I mean jeez, I know its not US Frame rate, but Netflix should figure out a way to be able to watch it in the US. The scenes panning moving is like watching ANIME. lol
I figured it out. I turned it on, tested it on my TV. Now those English Blocks don’t move like Anime anymore. Thank goodness!
Can I use Siri to play a movie I already have on my system instead of scrolling through hundreds of movies in the list?
No? STILL no?
…well, maybe this simple feature will make it into the next update.
