“iOS 8 will launch to the general public, as did its predecessors, alongside new iOS hardware. Going by last year’s launches, it’s most probable that Apple will launch iOS 8 alongside the iPhone 6, and that’s now very strongly expected to happen at Apple’s planned press event on 9 September,” Ashleigh Allsopp reports for Macworld UK. “(In technical terms, it’s expected that the iOS 8 Gold Master will be released on 9 September.) It will probably be followed by the iPad 6 a month or so later.”
“Apple watchers are 99.9 percent sure it will be the 9th September,” Allsopp reports. “Expect the final edition of iOS 8 to become available at the same time.”
