Shares of Apple Inc. (AAPL) are currently trading sharply higher, up over $3 per share on very heavy pre-market volume of 685,000 shares following Apple’s release of upgraded iPhone battery times and multi-touch screen materials (from plastic to scratch-resistant optical-quality glass.
AAPL closed Friday at $120.50.
It’s not an upgrade. Rather, it’s a specification finalization.
Call it what you want, but WallStreet is eating it up!
Mummy, why don’t my MDN pages load properly first time anymore?
@ page loading
Yeah, I’m getting blank pages much more frequently as of late.
Up more than 3 bucks and nearly 7 million shares already! Seems we’re in the home stretch. Any predictions for the next two weeks? Now that OE and it’s associated manipulations are behind us, and with today’s spec announcement, and the lines of people at the stores that will surely show up on the evening news… I think we’ll have a nice run up for the next two weeks. =)
Wherefore art thou, Laura Goldman?
I just wanna know an easy wahy to buy AAPL overseas.
Time to jump in before it’s out of reach.
I’ve been chaffing at the bit, watching the stock rise as some financial institutions holding my 401K money took their sweet time transferring those assets to my rollover IRA account. Finally, this morning, over 90% was there and available to trade. I just bought over 3K shares of AAPL. Tomorrow is the settlement date for some other company’s shares that were rolled over, which I promptly sold. So tomorrow I will use those proceeds to buy another 300 or so AAPL shares for my IRA account. I also have a much larger AAPL position in a normal brokerage account. Now I will sit back and watch Apple make my fortune. Go AAPL, go!
MW: much, as in: I am betting as much as I can on AAPL.
@ LinuxGuy and Mac Prodigal Son
You and me both, hon. I’ve stopped short off selling plasma or whoring for more investment cash… but only just. ;P I wish I’d bought more long, long ago when I got in for under 10 bucks, but isn’t that always the way? My own modest position is turning into a nice little nest egg. It’s going to be a hell of a ride!!!

Seems to load blank pages if you have a slower connection..
Strange – It should load the article before the ads. I always get the ads but no content and have to re-fresh
MW=Glass How fitting….
We’re getting close to an all-time closing high of $124+!!! Go, Apple, go! I got to buy an iPhone!
MDN pages will load slowly if you have a weak or unstable wifi connection. Like if your underlying dsl signal starts to break up.
@ bobchr
You think Adobe might have a sketchy connection?
