How to Install the Firmware Updates
Firmware updates for AirPods and Beats products install automatically. To trigger the process:
- Place your earbuds in their charging case.
- Connect the case to power (or ensure it’s near a paired device).
- Keep your iPhone, iPad, or Mac nearby with Bluetooth enabled and an active internet connection.
The update typically completes within a few minutes. To check the current firmware version:
• On iOS/iPadOS: Go to Settings > Bluetooth, tap the info (i) icon next to your AirPods/Beats device, and scroll to the “Firmware Version” field.
If the new version (8B41 for Pro models or 1B211 for Studio Buds) appears, you’re up to date.
