Apple’s “Schmigadoon!” the musical has been honored with four wins at the Tony Awards.

Apple was honored with its first-ever Tony Award wins, including Best Musical, Best Original Score, Best Book of a Musical and Best Orchestrations for “Schmigadoon!,” co-produced by Apple TV and inspired by the Apple TV series of the same name. With these wins, Apple TV has earned multiple Emmy Awards, a Grammy, Oscar and Tony Awards just six and a half years after its launch.

“Schmigadoon!” received a total of 12 Tony nominations. The cast also performed at the ceremony.

Since its global debut, Apple Original series “Schmigadoon!” has been recognized with an Emmy Award, an AFI Award TV Program of the Year honor, a Dorian TV Award and a ReFrame Stamp Award. The series has also earned nominations from the Critics Choice Awards, Grammy Awards, Art Directors Guild Awards, American Society of Cinematographers Awards, Motion Picture Sound Editors Awards, Imagen Awards and many more. In addition to this evening’s Tony Awards for “Schmigadoon!,” the musical has also been honored with wins from the Drama Desk Awards, the Outer Critics Circle Awards and the Chita Rivera Awards, as well as with nominations from the Drama League Awards, among others.

Apple TV canceled the “Schmigadoon!” TV series after two seasons (announced in early 2024, with no third season). However, a stage adaptation of the musical premiered on Broadway in 2026 (following a Kennedy Center run in 2025) and won Best Musical at the 79th Annual Tony Awards.

From “Saturday Night Live” creator Lorne Michaels and based on the award-winning Apple Original series, the delightfully hilarious musical is directed by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (“Death Becomes Her,” “Newsies”) with a book and Emmy Award-winning score by Cinco Paul (“Despicable Me,” “The Secret Life of Pets”). “Schmigadoon!” the musical is produced by Michaels, Micah Frank and Caroline Maroney on behalf of Broadway Video, and Christine Schwarzman and Megan O’Keefe on behalf of No Guarantees Productions. It made its Broadway debut at the Nederlander Theatre in April 2026, and is currently set to run through September 2026.

To date, Apple Original films, documentaries and series have been honored with 839 wins and 3,565 award nominations and counting, including multi-Emmy Award-winning and history-making comedies “The Studio” and “Ted Lasso,” global cultural phenomenon “Severance,” Apple’s most-viewed drama “Pluribus,” Academy Award Best Picture winner “CODA” and Academy Award winner “F1,” the highest-grossing sports feature of all time.

Apple landed four wins for the 2026 Tony Awards, including:

• Best Musical
• Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics) Written for the Theatre — Music & Lyrics, Cinco Paul
