Apple shares hit new all-time intraday and closing highs

In Nasdaq trading today, shares of Apple Inc. (AAPL) rose $3.09 to $286.19, a new all-time closing high. Apple’s all-time intraday high was also set today at $287.40.

Apple’s 52-week low stands at $169.21 set on April 8, 2025, the very date on which we wrote, “Sub-$170 AAPL seems like an absolute gift to us…”

Today’s trading volume for AAPL shares was 47,782,384 versus Apple’s average trading volume of 51,471,580 shares.

Apple’s PE Ratio currently stands at 38.31.

Apple currently has a market value of $4.247 trillion, making it the world’s second-most valuable company.

  1. When will AMD ship their GPU that can compete in all metrics with those NVIDIA GPUs? When that occurs we will see some major shifting of market caps! After all, it’s not magic, it’s engineering.

  2. iPhone sales matter more than anything to Wall Street. Certainly, actual product sales should matter more than some potential A.I. nonsense. I’m glad Wall Street is somewhat coming to its senses. It irks me that so much emphasis is put on A.I. despite only a few hardware companies are profiting from it. There are so many data centers being built, and yet the demand for A.I. doesn’t really exist for most consumers. Is there even enough energy to go around to power all those data centers, especially when the summer heat arrives?
