Apple TV is developing a drama series titled “Nomad,” with Jason Momoa in talks to star. The project is co-created by “Sons of Anarchy” creator Kurt Sutter, and Chris Collins.
Mike Fleming Jr for Deadline:
In the violent underworld of New Zealand’s outlaw bikers, a warrior torn between two lives, two callings and two families must decide which path defines his true destiny.
They are writing the pilot, and the showrunner will be Collins, whose credits include John Wick Chapter 3, Sons of Anarchy, The Man in the High Castle, and The Wire. The EPs will be Sutter through SutterInk, Collins through Generator Entertainment and Momoa and Brian Mendoza through their On the Roam banner.
Momoa is coming off a Polynesian-flavored series in the Hawaii-set Chief of War for Apple TV and Chernin Entertainment, and the biker docuseries On the Roam for Discovery.

How many tv shows he gonna do? He needs to cut his hair and try a different character.
bob,
I think the problem with Mamoa is to look at his acting pedigree and you just have to confirm that he can’t act.
He started in Baywatch (aquatic equivalent of Neighbours). In Stargate Atlantis he wasn’t the lead and it showed).
I can’t comment on his stint in Game of Thrones except he didn’t lead.
But again when Mamoa didn’t have the lead the productions were successful.
My point is this; if you want a brooding, dark character then Mamoa is the go to. However if you want someone with broad acting skills then go elsewhere.
This series will at the worst bomb. At best it will be a “mehe” movie. Mamoa’s acting is so painful I’ll be elsewhere when they stream this pile of boredom. And that’s his problem…a limited range of acting skills.
Just by way of example Chris Hemsworth has the “pecs” and he can act. Compare Mamoa to Hemsworth and you can see what I mean.
