Apple to host 'Awe Dropping' special event on September 9th

Apple said on Tuesday it would host its annual fall event on September 9, when the company is expected to unveil new iPhones, Watches and other devices.

The company’s annual iPhone-focused video presentation will take place at its Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California, kicking off at 10:00 a.m. with select media in attendance. It’s will also stream worldwide.

The 2025 event is expected to introduce the iPhone 17 lineup, featuring a sleek, ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air alongside the standard iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The iPhone 17 Pro models will boast a durable aluminum frame and a redesigned bar-shaped rear camera module, with all models equipped with new A19 or A19 Pro chips and ProMotion displays as standard. The iPhone 17 Air, replacing the “Plus” model, will be Apple’s thinnest and lightest iPhone yet, sporting a 6.6-inch display, Apple’s C1 modem, and a single-lens rear camera.

Additionally, Apple will likely unveil the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Apple Watch SE 3 — the first simultaneous update of all Apple Watch models in three years.

Other potential reveals include AirPods Pro 3 with a new design, an updated HomePod mini, and/or a refreshed Apple TV 4K.

Apple will also reveal the release dates for iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, and other upcoming software.

MacDailyNews Note: Apple plans to stream the fall event live on its website, on YouTube, and via its ‌Apple TV‌ app.
