Apple among over sixty other companies backing President Trump's Health Tech Ecosystem initiative

Apple, Amazon, Alphabet subsidiary Google, Anthropic (backed by Amazon), and OpenAI (backed by Microsoft) are among the companies that have committed to supporting the Trump administration’s plan to modernize U.S. healthcare through enhanced digital access and data sharing, according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on Wednesday.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is taking bold steps to modernize the nation’s digital health ecosystem with a focus on empowering Medicare beneficiaries through greater access to innovative health technologies

America’s healthcare system is plagued by complexity, high costs, and fragmentation—placing strain on patients, providers, and our national budget. Outdated infrastructure and disconnected data have made it harder — not easier — to get quality care and achieve positive long-term outcomes. Without competitive pressure, the system fails to reward the best ideas leveraging modern technology.

“For decades, bureaucrats and entrenched interests buried health data and blocked patients from taking control of their health,” said HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., in a statement “That ends today. We’re tearing down digital walls, returning power to patients, and rebuilding a health system that serves the people. This is how we begin to Make America Healthy Again.”

“We have the tools and information available now to empower patients to improve their outcomes and their healthcare experience,” said CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz in a statement. “For too long, patients in this country have been burdened with a healthcare system that has not kept pace with the disruptive innovations that have transformed nearly every other sector of our economy. With the commitments made by these entrepreneurial companies today, we stand ready for a paradigm shift in the U.S. healthcare system for the benefit of patients and providers.”

The initiative advances a CMS Interoperability Framework, incorporating tools such as artificial intelligence assistants, digital check-ins, and chronic disease management apps, the agency stated.

Twenty-one networks pledged to meet CMS interoperability standards, eleven health systems and seven electronic health record (EHR) providers committed to supporting the plan, and thirty companies pledged to promote real health outcomes with technology over the coming months. The new tools will use secure digital identity credentials to obtain medical records from CMS Aligned Networks that meet the CMS data sharing criteria. The apps will assist in the delivery of key services to beneficiaries including:

• Diabetes and obesity management;

• The use of conversational AI assistants to help patients check symptoms, navigate care options, and schedule appointments, among other tasks; and

• Tools to “kill the clipboard” by replacing paper intake forms with seamless digital check-in methods; and more.

Over sixty companies have committed to delivering results by early 2026, with new applications expected to aid in diabetes and obesity management, provide AI-powered assistance for scheduling and symptom assessment, and replace paper intake forms with digital check-in processes, according to CMS.

  1. I don’t think my health can take anymore government improvement of healthcare. I’m still reeling from that idiot Obama and his “if you like your plan, you can keep your plan” BS of his and the Dems fraudulent Affordable Care Act. I don’t need Trump and the Republicans piling on their crap. After all, Left or Right, isn’t it government that has got us where we are today and not just with a problematic healthcare system.

  2. woW, FINALLY a more efficient & beautiful & integrated U/UX system, the US Giant woke up from its dilapidated infrastructure/health system, mocking the world yet lagging behind. Even Communist-Capitalistic China is way ahead, how embarrassing.

Indeed complexity + high costs + fragmentation strained patients/providers/fed budget, but how will it affect UX/UI with so many cooks in the soup, will they ever agree on a single solution & how much will be compromised? China’s single decision-making, no endless meetings or talk not walk, allows for rapid, efficient, easy, unified, slick UI/UX.

the gov site for it, CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) markets it as childishly as Mr T with “Making Health Tech Great Again” – it was never GREAT?! how delusional!

Apple / Amazon / Goo / Anthropic / OpenAI…60 firms by early 2026, 21 networks, 11 health systems, 7 EHR (Electronic Health Record) providers good, but…as with gov smearing BitCoin/Crypto for years with national marketing campaigns by gov/banks, they all ended up totally supporting it, just for the sake of realizing it was even better for mass surveillance & control – how undemocratic & Orwellian! DNA & now your entire medical history in 1 source, will KiLL privacy/security/democracy/rights 100%.

But it’ll be efficient & “Make USA Great” – exceptionally undemocratic, un-free. Free from filling in paper forms every bloody time at every Dr, yes, but efficiency at the cost of gov abuse for your private info, no matter what HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) says.

Where does one draw the line, create a BALANCE between outdated & ZEN, without risking privacy too much?
HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. states “For decades, bureaucrats and entrenched interests buried health data and blocked patients from taking control of their health” As usual, it’s typical gov B.S. The benefit is superficial, on UI/UX level, but it’s not really, deeply giving us the People the control, not at all, how the heck will we control who knows what, how doctors, gov, institutions, pharma will use/abuse our private info, we won’t control our bodies any more/better than before, now that we’re all in a single database prone for hacking.

RFK’s “This is how we begin to Make America Healthy Again.” is hype. How?! Yes, we will have better monitoring apps (disease management) but the devices are not produced by gov, rather private manufacturers/firms. For instance, Apple Watch already improved people’s lives, saving their lives, with fall/sos/heartbeat/ekg/blood oxygen, soon blood pressure/diabetes/obesity etc, without gov input.

CMS admin Oz makes it seem like the US gov is again ahead of the world with its “Paradigm SHiFT in the healthcare system” but let’s stop this nauseating “American Greatness/Exceptionalism” again, it is decades late and the world is ahead, wake up, not to mention, let’s see how long it will take 100s of companies and what the result will be! Unlike Trumpster simpletons think, it takes more than just meme saying/utterances to improve anything. It’s not merely about digital check-ins/scheduling! Just because you throw in ai, does not mean it works. Apple failed ai despite its hardware-software knowhow. Google & Msft & Meta failed ai for years. Now it turns our ai was all hype as it has no reasoning capabilities, only rehashing/summarizing past knowledge. So ai is in its infancy despite the advances in GenAI. So the “conversational AI assistants” in the new health system is hype, conversation results are still immature & inaccurate, even in simple search. Or for example T’s Apple will invest $500B in USA & make iPhones in USA – not within T’s 4 year term, it takes at least 3-5 years, if not 10 years, to start such a manufacturing project and even then, USA does not have the suppliers or engineers, so our gov is full of B.S. and our voters are so delusional. Nationalism has always failed historically. Grow up, or nothing Great will be left. Think positive all you want, this is not being negative but realistic. Wishful thinking does not work, without much hard work behind the wishful positive thinking! iQ & eQ must be involved.

    1. “Even Communist-Capitalistic China is way ahead,”

Oh, how I wish we could have a Chinese-like long & loving govt embrace. I taste it here and it doesn’t suit my tastes.

Do you believe in a good piece is an edited piece?

    1. 60 lobbyists lining up to see how they can get a slice of profit, by increased balkanization and data theft … er, more insidious marketing. EmDeEnn should get in line, they are perfectly suited to this task, and they worship every offhand circular logic word salad the great healthy USMussolini utters. So glad he was able to recover from those painful bone spurs. Plus the life-saving Covid shots that he told everyone else were “personal choices”.

      1. That’s a sharp, biting commentary—clearly you’ve got strong feelings about the intersection of profit motives, public health, and political opportunism. You’re drawing a line from lobbyist-driven profit chasing, through data exploitation and divisive marketing, to figures like Trump (implied by the bone spur and vaccine references), and entities like MDM (EmDeEnn), possibly mocking their perceived opportunism or complicity.
