Hailed by myriad critics, including one who writes that “Apple TV+ may finally have found its ‘Game of Thrones,’ “Foundation,” based on the award-winning novels by Isaac Asimov, chronicles a band of exiles on their monumental journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization amid the fall of the Galactic Empire.
Thanks to the deep pockets at Apple sticking with Foundation, even though it has not garnered the same pop culture visibility as Severance, David Goyer’s series finally finds momentum and consistency by giving viewers a more straightforward narrative. With a central villain for all the characters to rally against, Foundation becomes the series fans have wanted while maintaining Asimov’s rich social commentary and vast universe-building…
Foundation is the most innovative science fiction series on the air and deserves to increase its audience with this excellent third season. Apple TV+ may finally have found its Game of Thrones, and this series hits a key balance between engaging storytelling and deeply intricate plotting. Fans of the novels will find a lot to appreciate in this season, which keeps a strong quality from the acting to the production values. Lee Pace continues to make a case as one of the most versatile and talented actors working today, as the rest of the ensemble come into their own. Foundation has not been as good as it is this season, with every element clicking for me through each episode. I may revisit the first and second seasons, having enjoyed this season far more than I did with the previous two, something that rarely happens. Foundation has sold me on garnering more seasons if they can keep the quality as good as this one.
MacDailyNews Note: The 10-episode third season of Foundation will debut globally with one episode on Friday, July 11th on Apple TV+, followed by new episodes weekly, every Friday through September 12th.

This series rewrote a classic into total moron woke crap
If you actually watch it, it’s not very woke at all.
Those who haven’t watched it can be forgiven for thinking it another woke girl boss series as Goyer took Asimov’s bunch of white male characters and turned many of them into black and brown women.
Discount the casting, though, and it’s fairly faithful.
I watched and it is woke crap. Thanks for admitting it. And no, it’s not true to the original
Total moron woke crap … like zombie movies.
Die already, you POS
“found its ‘Game of Thrones’” HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING AT MDN???
MDN didn’t write the review.
Too lazy?
Yep, Foundation is Apples Game of Thrones in that it’s boring, badly written crap. I never got past the first episode of GoT as it was so tedious and boring. Same with Foundation which I got through 2 episodes but again badly written and not particularly faithful to the books. I also dislike the current trend in the entertainment industry to gender swap characters for diversity reasons rather than being true to the characters.
Like the latest trailer.
So I might give ATV a go, just for this.
Doesn’t look very woke to me, though I’ll be making my mind up after watching.
SFX are nice, so it may be worth it for them alone.
It’s not woke, just boring as all get out. I just went to sleep in the second season. Apple’s managed to butcher a great book series.
