Apple today unveiled a new Black Unity Collection to honor Black History Month, and celebrate Black culture and community. Inspired by the rhythm of humanity, the collection includes a special-edition Apple Watch Black Unity Sport Loop, a matching watch face, and iPhone and iPad wallpapers.

As part of the launch, Apple is supporting several global organizations whose work focuses on elements of rhythm, creativity, and community. This includes grants to the Ellis Marsalis Center for Music in New Orleans; Battersea Arts Centre in London; Music Forward Foundation in Los Angeles; Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney; and The National Museum of African American Music in Nashville, Tennessee. Apple’s support for these organizations builds upon the company’s longstanding commitment to advancing economic, educational, and creative opportunities in communities around the world.

Black creatives and allies at Apple collaborated on the design of the new collection. The collection, Unity Rhythm, weaves together the colors of the Pan-African flag: black, green, and red. The Black Unity Sport Loop is woven in a custom pattern of raised and recessed loops that creates a lenticular effect, revealing green on one side of each loop, and red on the other. When the band is worn, the colors appear dynamic, shifting from green to red as a user moves their wrist, and the color yellow appears in the transition, as if by magic.

The matching Unity Rhythm watch face features custom numerals formed by intertwined threads of red, green, and yellow. The watch face reacts to the gyroscope, so when a user raises their wrist to check the time, the strands coalesce from a series of abstract brush strokes into digits. When using the Unity Rhythm watch face, distinctive, rhythmic chimes mark every hour and half hour.

The Unity Rhythm iPhone and iPad wallpapers feature the same custom lettering writing the word “Unity,” which changes orientation when the device is unlocked and locked.

  1. Why do leftists like Tim Cook constantly focus on skin color? Because they’re racists. They see skin color first. Also, they need “people of color” to feel aggrieved, so that they’ll vote for leftists to “save” and “help” them, so they never stop talking about race. Because they’re racists and they need division for votes.

Democrats need blacks to stay on the Democrat plantation, voting for them in lockstep, and Democrat candidates can talk race, forever dividing, while never having to deliver for “people of color.”

The politics of racist division are no longer working so well for the Democrat race-baiters.

  2. Did Tim Cook personally string up blacks in his Alabama days? The white guilt oozes out of him and, by extenstion, Apple. Why?

DEI and CRT are twin cancers on race relations in America. Americans tried to do the right thing in electing Obama, but instead of being the bigger man, uniting the country, moving beyond race, Obama instead chose to be a small man and sow further division.

We’re still paying for electing Obama today (of course, we just finished his third illegal term – helmed by a demented puppet – a week ago, so it’s not so surprising).

  3. Being Irish, I wonder when comes something like the Irish Unity Whiskey Shot Club? Something similar involving potatoes would be fine too (esp if related to fermenting/making vodka). Bottoms up!

  4. Apple releases the New Racial Hatred collection. Apple says down the road it will work on a home appliance that combines Apple TV with a speaker and a Facebook camera, but only after it completes its Racial Hatred, Sexual Dysfunction and Pedophilia collections.

  5. How about American Unity? Wasn’t that what MLK Jr. was about? Content not color? Black Unity focuses on only one race leaving all others out. I reference the Morgan Freeman video posted above.

  6. How does Timmy think he is on the right side of things like this?

Isn’t separating one race from another racist?

Between not releasing products people want (large iMac), hosing customers in order to overcharge (memory/storage) and simply milking them for more money (icloud) it makes you wonder how long it will be before apple begins the downward ride to mediocrity?

Look what was just elected due to people being fed-up with all of this nonsense.

  7. Apple has just signed up Ryan Clark of ESPN, to be a Black spokesbro for the Ryan Clark Black Man – Please Don’t Shoot Me, White Woman – extra long sport Apple Watch Loop and Belt extender for Low Rider Pants Collection. Mr. Clark is the father of the son who was hypothetically shot by a white woman in a drive through when he and two other large Black football players simply asked her to help them acquire food and she unfurled the, you know what. Uppity white women. And we thought it was just White Supremacist Males. Now the White Hos are joining with them.
