  1. Apple is increasingly losing touch with its investors, its customers, and the direction society is heading. Once a visionary company that disrupted markets with groundbreaking products designed to empower people and inspire change, Apple now risks becoming just another corporation focused on maximizing profits. Instead of staying true to its legacy of innovation and creativity, it seems to be leveraging its market dominance to advance ideologies that stray far from its products and its storied history.

    1. “Apple now risks becoming just another corporation focused on maximizing profits”

      Maybe much worse as AAPL, the richest co in the World, is working (and complying) with the country that, as Mr Wray stated on 60 Min, has “insinuated” (what a weird word choice, imo), or placed malware in many critical US services/infrastructure to be activated when needed/desired. Meanwhile, while Mr. Wray was policing school board meetings and claiming white supremacy was their major focus, China wiring-up the US for their own pleasure.

      China’s benefit, as the go-to for cheap products, has LONG been retired as the best choice when true value is the denominator. In addition, DEI is a tool/policy that’s long been in China’s tool-bag.

      When a policy of “fairness” is the goal, someone is ALWAYS treated less fairly.

  2. Congrats to the Board for standing up to this pathetic push. The world isn’t vanilla – the diversity of talent is reflected in the diversity of people that make up the global population. Past inequities can’t be forgotten. Current inequities are indefensible.

    The real world’s diversity is a joy, and must not become a political football. Embrace diversity rather than pretend it doesn’t exist.

    1. ERIC w,

      DEI = DID’T EARN IT

  3. “Past Inequities can’t be forgotten” You have no idea of the actual implications of the statement, I’ll bet.

    I’m Irish. No one is bending a knee towards me…but in my history…. One ridiculous example and the list is endless. If the “ideal” was heeded, the World would spend 99% of all time rectifying “past inequities.”

    There are laws for “current inequities,” btw. And I truly enjoy diversity and more-so when not forced via do-gooder govt/biz mandate.
