U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday chose Gail Slater, an antitrust veteran and economic adviser for U.S. Vide President-elect J.D. Vance, to lead the Department of Justice’s antitrust division and take charge of a full docket of blockbuster monopoly cases against companies including Apple, Google, and Visa.
Slater served on the White House’s National Economic Council in 2018, where she worked on Trump’s executive order on national security concerns over Chinese telecommunications equipment.
Slater will take over a number of high-profile cases in which some of the world’s largest companies are accused of illegally building and protecting monopolies.
Trump said Slater will “ensure that our competition laws are enforced, both vigorously and FAIRLY, with clear rules that facilitate, rather than stifle, the ingenuity of our greatest companies.”

“May you live in interesting times”
The words “Trump” and “Law” do not belong in the same sentence together.
The only word that belongs in the same sentence with Trump is Loyalty, as in, everyone he picks for a role in his caucus is LOYAL to him. Ethics, legality and morals have no place in Trumps bubble.
Sounds like a description of Biden. One of the most corrupt governments in our history. Integrity? Biden doesn’t even know how to spell it. Not in his vocabulary.
If you were running a biz, or a country, I’ll bet a billion bucks you wouldn’t stand for disloyalty.
The list being floated of Joe’s possible “pardons,” and the recent decade backward looking pardon of his son, epitomize ethics, legality and morals have “no place” in Joe’s bubble-clan.
