Hours after former U.S. President Donald J. Trump survived assassination attempt after major and rather inexplicable catastrophic security lapse where a rooftop with clear sight and within rifle range was seemingly left unchecked by security personnel, Apple CEO Tim Cook weighed in on X.
The FBI subsequently identified 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania as the suspect in the attempted assassination. Crooks was killed by a Secret Service agent after Crooks successfully fired numerous shots from the rooftop wounding Trump, critically injuring two others, and killing one attendee.
I pray for President Trump’s rapid recovery. My thoughts are with him, the other victims and the Trump family. I strongly condemn this violence.
