“‘Apple has an excellent reputation on information and communication systems and has incredible financial strength,’ the CEO said on Thursday during an earnings call,” Cremer reports. “‘We would be interested’ in acting as partner if Apple decides to produce a vehicle, he said.”

“Continental AG, Europe’s second-largest maker of vehicle parts, plans to increase revenue by at least 45 percent by the end of the decade as demand expands for automotive electronics and machinery components,” Elisabeth Behrmann reports for Bloomberg.
“Continental, also Europe’s second-largest tiremaker, said it’s targeting sales growth this year of almost 9 percent to 37.5 billion euros ($41.4 billion), with the figure surging to 50 billion euros by 2020. The forecast for 2015 compares with the 37.6 billion-euro average of 26 analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg,” Behrmann reports. “‘We are focusing on the increasing need for mobility and growing demand from our industrial customers,’ Chief Executive Officer Elmar Degenhart said Thursday in a statement. ‘Installation of electronics and software will see continued strong growth.'”
