‘Sensus’ touch-sensitive iPhone case rewrites rules on smartphone functionality

“Remember that feeling of wonder you experienced when you used an iPhone — or any touch device — for the first time? “The Sensus is quite simple in its functionality, but its possibilities seem endless,” Evangelho reports. “When attached via the iPhone’s proprietary connection, it adds touch response — for up to 10 fingers — to the entire surface of the phone (with the exception of the bottom). It also acts as a protective case.”

Evangelho reports, “Imagine browsing a webpage and running your thumb along the side of your iPhone to scroll up and down. It feels more natural and doesn’t block the view… Minneapolis-based Canopy is planning to launch the Sensus for iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 this summer at about $69.”
