Analyst: AT&T sold about 8.2 million Apple iPhones in the December quarter

“AT&T announced that it sold over 10 million smartphones in the December quarter,” Chuck Jones writes for Forbes.

“I estimate that it sold approximately 8.2 million iPhones which would be an increase of 8% year over year,” Jones writes. “This data point supports my estimate of 50.5 million iPhones sold in the quarter as it lowers the numbers needed for other carriers to sell by 700,000 or it could indicate that Apple sold more than I am projecting.”

Jones writes, “I am estimating that Apple generated $57 billion in revenue with 38.8% gross margins and $14.30 in EPS, which is above Street expectations for revenue of $54.6 billion and EPS of $13.34.”
