Apple’s October 23rd special media event shows company can still keep secrets

“Apple’s media event Tuesday presumably to unveil its so-called iPad Mini tablet demonstrates that the consumer electronics giant can still keep secrets despite its massive size,” Patrick Seitz reports for Investor’s Business Daily.

“The business and technology press widely expect Apple to unveil a smaller tablet with a 7.85-inch display to complement its original 9.7-inch display iPads,” Seitz reports. “But beyond that, there are a lot of unknowns. Even the name iPad Mini isn’t a lock, with iPad Air and simply iPad being tossed around.”

Seitz reports, “Pricing is the biggest question mark, with analysts guessing the iPad Mini could start at anywhere from $250 to $399… Linked with the pricing issue are the components used in the iPad Mini. Such unknowns include the type of display used and how much data storage, processing power and wireless capabilities the new tablet will have.”
