Apple now worth more than double Microsoft’s market value

In NASDAQ trading at 2pm today, Microsoft (MSFT) had a market value of $274.04 billion.

Double that and you get $548.08 billion.

Also at 2pm, the value of Apple (AAPL) was $549.22 billion or more than double the value of Microsoft.

Just look at what Steve Jobs hath wrought!

This milestone reminds us of a quote uttered by a confused man nearly 14 years ago:

What I can’t figure out is why he [Steve Jobs] is even trying [to be the CEO of Apple]? He knows he can’t win.Bill Gates, June 1998

Smirk.

One more thing… Boom!
