Now if there were just some Thunderbolt devices to use this software!
I just picked up an SSD drive but had to stick it in a USB enclosure for use with my air. Hopefully some manufacturers figure out there is a demand for this stuff. Pretty pathetic to have a 550mb read/write drive and have it limping along at 35mb with USB 2.0.
Manufacturers: my wallet is ready anytime you are!
And, I am not going to buy the ridiculous LaCie little big disk for $1000 when I was able to buy an SSD for $250. All I need is the enclosure.
Is the Lacie Little Big Disk SSD really $1000?! That’s insane for a 240GB drive. I saw the disk based 1TB and 2TB were $399 and $499, but hadn’t seen a price on the SSD model.
Whoever is the first person to make empty Thunderbolt enclosures available that we can put our own drives in is going to make a fortune.
