Hate the new Facebook? Here’s how to change it

“If there is one thing Facebook users love to do, it’s to complain about design changes on the social network,” Chris Brandrick reports for PCWorld. “Over the years, the site has undergone several user interface tweaks, and each and every time Facebook makes a change, a large portion of the site’s 750 million users rage.”

“The most recent changes revamps the homepage news feed, and adds the ‘news ticker,'” Brandrick reports. “If you’re not a fan of these changes, well, there is very little you can actually do, as Facebook offers no way to revert to the old-style design. However, there is one thing that can be done if you’re a Chrome user.”

Brandrick reports, “A Chrome plugin called Facebook News Ticker Remover promises to, as you may have guessed, remove the new sidebar ticker box.”

  1. I don’t really care about Facebook really. I am still wondering when Apple will come to the table with something much more significant. With my personal interests (music, movies, etc) at the center, the iPod/iPhone/iPad/Macs ecosphere and the huge NC datacenter, I can imagine something more grand than Facebook.

  2. Lol I thinks it’s hilarious the people think complaining or postin bs about this they will actually get Facebook to change back…. Idiots it will never happen and I will tell you why…

    1. Facebook is free so nobody at Facebook actually cares what it’s users think..

    2. If you really don’t like the changes I urge you to consider your other options…. Here they are…. You can always fight the power and defect to myspace but really? How long til myspace adapts to facebooks changes? You can join google plus and be another of the 600,000 users that joins and never signs back in..

    3. Last one…. Make your own social networking site that stays the same for eternity we will call it oldbook where grannies and grandpas go to meet

Keep cryin people it won’t do anything the changes are here to stay =)

    1. Speaking as someone who spends a great deal of his spare time doing lots of stuff that doesn’t require me to sit in front of a computer screen, I find the Facebook app incredibly useful. I have friends and family scattered all over the UK, and I also have a major music obsession, and Fb let’s me keep in regular contact with people who I would find it almost impossible to keep in touch with, and there are musicians who I have something approaching a real friendship with, who would otherwise be voices on a CD, and remote faces on a stage. Facebook is used by many millions of people, with all of the variations that implies. Some of them are like you. Idiots.
