How Apple’s revolutionary iPhone changed everything

“Apple’s iPhone debuted four years ago, and we sometimes take for granted how much has changed since then,” Ryan Kim reports for GigaOM.

“The phone altered the smartphone landscape and ushered in the modern era of intelligent, connected devices,” Kim reports. “It shook up the industry and forced changes and upheaval among many competitors.”

    1. A teleporter? This would be huge. It will eliminate cars, lorries, trains, aeroplanes, etc. Transportation is instantaneous. Many businesses will be affected or be rendered irrelevant. Apple will become a US$1,000 trillion company.

  1. On the History Channel last night they had one of those rundowns of gadgets that changed the world. #1 on the list was the smartphone. Higher than the personal computer, television, radio, phonograph, and a bunch more that I missed. Ironically, they flashed through images of a couple of dozen smartphones with no emphasis on the iPhone. They even had yokel stabbing at a screen with a stylus. (some ill choices from the stock footage bin).
