Retina-X Studios, LLC, the creators of the first spy software for the iPhone, announced today the immediate availability of Mobile Spy for Apple iPhone 4 devices. No other professional monitoring software is currently compatible with iPhone iOS 4. Users can silently track GPS locations, SMS messages, photos and calls of children or employees inside a secure online control panel.
Mobile Spy runs in total stealth mode and no mentions of the program are shown on the iPhone. The software runs in the background behind all other applications. After the software is set up on the phone, it silently records the entire text of all SMS text messages, information about each call, emails, photos snapped, web visits, contacts list and actual GPS positions.
Immediately after activities are logged, they are silently uploaded to the user’s secure online account. Accounts can be securely checked online from any web browser without needing further access to the phone. Activity logs are viewable in real time immediately after they are recorded, including complete texts and maps of GPS positions.
This exclusive system helps businesses enforce their Acceptable Use and Vehicle Policies on company-provided phones. The software can also monitor teen or family phones. It gives a parent the ability to remotely monitor their child’s texting activities. As described on CNN, police also use the software to catch child predators. Another common use is to back up a user’s own cell activity as a record of all important text conversations and travels.
A one-year subscription to Mobile Spy is priced at US$99.97. More info here.

This software is both vital and necessary anymore. Think what you will but, not all of us are noble and righteous and the fact of the matter is, far too many of cannot be trusted at all.
I appreciate iGads sentiment. Spoken like a well-adjusted person who probably sets a good example.
But there are plenty of exceptions to consider, whether you’re an employer or a parent.
Tens of millions of workers could care less about the company they work for and see their current job as a stepping stone to the next. They aren’t dedicated like some and use company time and resources to either, find another job, or to fight the boredom.
Just knowing there could be spyware might be enough of a deterrent.
For some parents, it’s enough to talk about it without ever resorting to this kind of control. But let’s be clear, some kids are crazier than shit-house rats and before considering mortgaging the house to post bail for a third-strike loser of a child, perhaps knowing their true intentions up front would save your home.
But let’s be clear, these parents would be too afraid to know, not only who their children are, but who they, themselves are, as human beings.
It’s a sad state of affairs, but the fact is, people are dark and hide things from you. Corporate espionage is real and detrimental to any company.
Kids lie and their behavior can be detrimental to the family.
While I can’t imagine my ever having to resort to tactics like these, some people are so bad at communicating and developing relationships, they have to resort to crap like this.
break time’s over, back to the books…
Unfortunately I have to agree there is a need, and isn’t it sad.
Thank you for the complement. I also coach youth sports and you would be amazed at how often I come across children who can’t trust or talk to their own parents. It’s’ sad that many of these kids still call me or ask me to come watch them perform because it’s more important for them to have me see them do something then their parents. I wouldn’t miss it, they are as important in my life as they were when I coached them. I hope in some way that might help them in their future.
We can only hope.
This is not funny at all. This is disgusting!
If Apple allows this but gets scared and screaming if it sees a naked titty in an application, that’s revolting and unhealthy!!!
This is how you produce sick children and a Bush voting nation!
@iPol
Apple is NOT allowing this. It requires the iPhone to be Jailbroken, hence, no support from apple. Apple would never allow something like this onto the iPhone.
Reprehensible!
Stay away from this software and company! Hidden in the fine print is the fact that you have to “jailbreak” your phone to use the software! I bought it and then asked for a refund when after purchase found out about the “jailbreak” requirement……….there answer………….tough, not our problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! This company is a rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mac Daily News: Please be more careful in your coverage of software/company’s like this! I trust your site and integrity and as such let my guard down and didn’t do my due diligence before I purchased as I believed if you had evaluated it, the product must be good! Please immediately “red flag” or remove your report!
Paul.
This is a way people will “catch” a cheating spouse. Hum…. It does not seem very legal. But? Folks will certainly use it for that!
Sounds like malware gussied up in a brown shirt and jackboots.
@zeke
I managed more that 200 persons at one time. The issue is that sometimes people do NOT deliver what is expected. As a manager you need to know why. And sometime you have to terminate employment, and for that you need cause. Cause requires evidence of wrong doing. Discovering a few gigs of porn on one of my employee’s computers explained his lack of accomplishments, and gave me just cause move him out. Business is not always about trust and goodwill, unfortunately. It is about labor law, courts and attorneys. Grow up zeke, your ignorance is showing.
