  1. Take a look at ourselves. Have our lives actually been in some kind of state of suspension while we wait all these long, long days, endure nightmares, and flip out because our new toy hasn’t arrived?

Note to all the kids here: when you stop shaking long enough to tap his name on your new iPad, you can discover who this guy is.

  2. In short: No

We do, however owe the Soviets some gratitude for the national competitions that lead to the breathtaking advancements in science and technology during the 2nd half of the 20th century (granted, much of it had its genesis in weapons systems). Nevertheless, I think history has demonstrated that communism cannot compete with capitalism as an economic system and is not sustainable even when supported by dictatorship.

  3. I am bummed. I ordered two on Mar 12. Got the WiFi model on time. But so far no news from Apple re the 3G model ordered the same time. My status at Apple store says “ships late April” Three days ago my credit card showed a pending charge for the iPad. That went away yesterday. No charge and no pending on the card as of this minute. Maybe they figure since I have one already to play with I can wait.
