Apple Store Canada“The traditional construction barricade is going up in front of 1321 Ste-Catherine W. in Montreal (Canada), indicating that renovation work will begin shortly on the future Apple store. 1. Disappointed MDN still hasn’t run the Vancouver story yet (although with MWSF coming up MDN is swamped I am sure.

    Construction is underway in the Vancouver store. It is being developed in the old Holt Renfrew section of Pacific Centre mall in downtown Vancouver.

    Apple currently has postings on it’s website for sales positions/creative/store manager/assistant store manager, etc. for “Vancouver-Pacific Centre”.

    You can go to: http://jobs.apple.com/index.ajs?method=mHvexternal.showPositionDetails&&BID;=2&Language=en&PID=64

    Select “Find Locations” then select “British Columbia”

    Because Apple is hiring Sales people for the “floor” already, and signs at the old Holt Renfrew section of Pacific Centre Mall show “Opening Spring 2008” it is expected this includes the Apple Store. Apple does not do advance hiring unless they are within months of a store opening.

    Cheers to all you West Coast Canucks!

  2. Mac Daddy … no intention to slight either Ottawa or Calgary, but they are not as easy to characterize as the others.
    Brau … being from Berkshire County, MA, I hear you loud and clear. The county is next door to NY and one of three or four in the state – all west of Springfield – that most in the state know nothing about. Stockbridge is more famous for being the Turnpike exit mentioned in Sweet Baby James than anything else. Lee? Pittsfield? Adams? Oh, wait, didn’t one of our governors live there?
    Harrumph!
    Dave
