Apple today released Xserve EFI Firmware Update 1.0 which is recommended for all Xserve users and improves the performance and reliability of Dual-Core Intel Xeon processors.
System Requirements:
• Mac OS X 10.4.10 or later
• Xserve (Late 2006)
After the firmware is successfully applied to your computer, your BootROM Version will be: XS11.0080.B01
You can confirm the version of the BootROM installed on your computer using System Profiler.
To complete the firmware update process, please follow the instructions in the updater application (/Applications/Utilities/Xserve EFI Firmware Update.app). The updater will launch automatically when the Installer closes.
Xserve EFI Firmware Update 1.0 is available via Software Update and also as a standalone installer.
