I mean, themes are cool—you can add well-designed title sequences customized with your own photos and video clips—but they’re cool in that flashy, pop singer, look-at-me kind of way,” Jeff Carlson writes for Macworld. “Just because Apple is promoting themes as iMovie’s most important feature—they took up the bulk of the demo time Steve Jobs allotted to iMovie in his keynote—doesn’t mean it’s the only addition to the digital-video editing application that deserves attention.
