SmallImage will reduce the size of your JPEG files, without changing the quality or resizing your images.
The JPEG image format contains a lot of “metadatas”, like profiles, comments, legends, and so on… These metadatas are stored in the file itself and can make the files a lot bigger than necessary. When you want to publish a image on the internet (on a website or to send it by email, for example) and just want the file to be as small as possible and therefore to be downloaded as fast as possible, use SmallImage.
For example a JPEG image taken from a digital camera was reduced with SmallImage from 420 KB to 168 KB, without any change of quality or size ! And a folder containing 6,3 MB of JPEG filles was reduced to 1,5 MB, again without any loss of quality.
