defintely fakes check out the boot camp icon magnified on the menu bar, notice it is not anti-aliased, Apple wouldn't miss that.

fake. note on the pic with safari that there are 2 hard drive icons, 1 says macintosh hd and the other says leopard. assuming he has on a separate drive, the leopard drive, he would have booted from that drive, and would have showed up above the other drive. drives are shown on the desktop in the order they booted.

Lets pretend that these are real. If these were Leopard screenshots, I feel sorry for anyone waiting for this. This looks completely unchanged from Tiger. A couple of new menu bar icons and changed theme for some apps does not constitute a new OS version. This is just sad.

These were worse than the last bunch.

AS OF 10.4.5 the Dock (yes the Dock) contacts the Apple Store.

Install Little Snitch

Force Quit the Dock.

Activate Dashboard.

Why? Who TF knows, but I ran the ip address it contacts and it takes me right to the front page of Apple.

Did anyone notice that instead of a google search bar in the upper right hand corner of safari, there is now a "MacSearch" bar? An interesting idea. Apple getting into the search business?

Is there a site that shows any fake Tiger pictures that came out before Tiger's release? It would be fun to look at them.

I agree that they're fake, but what really interests me is the dearth of Leopard rumors.

As August approaches, things are going to heat up bigtime. And that also means that the expectations are going to grow.

Leopard had better include time travel, or...

Fakes - Apple is too sensitive to new users, and the two "+" buttons in Safari are very easily confusing. The "+" for adding the URL to the Dashboard is logical, but now the "+" all by itself (Add to Bookmarks) has no logic function. A person would ask "Add to what?"

If Apple were to add an "Add to Dashboard" button, they would alter the icon for "Add to Bookmark", perhaps making it look like the open book icon for editing bookmarks.

Apple always moves forward in ease of use. The fake images make the user interface more confusing.

As pointed out in the comments on the flickr site, the black dashboard icon already exists in Safari, take a look in the Package Contents -> Resources something ike OpenInDashboard.tif

those screen shots are boring - somebody jumping on the bandwagon of trinity rubicon - I mean - they even made mail look worse!!! hahaha!!!

I know it's fake because the address book and calendar are still seperate icons. I thought they would be combined into one program. At least that would make the most sense.

Fake: Latest date visible: June 23 - look at content. Today is 26th. Why wait to publish such a fraud lest it took 3 days to "doctor up." Should be faster doctors. :D

Boot camp will not be called boot camp in 10.5. It will be embedded into the OS and I am sure the icon will change. These are definetly fake.

The Safari tabs are awful. I'm typing on a 12 in PowerBook. I don't have the screen width to use that system. Luckily, I use Camino.

As you all know, the boot drive for MacOS will be the top most drive on the desktop. If in fact this system is booted off the Leopard drive, then it would be the top most drive. Even if lets say it was sorted by name, it would still be the top most drive. Unless this user actually moved the Macintosh HD to the top and Leopard to the bottom, they did not do their homework on what drive shows up where at startup. I would find it hard to believe that someone would name their drive Leopard and not have it booting off that drive. Nothing to see here, move along. NEXT...

Fake. Look at the Boot Camp menu item in the Menu Bar while zoomed in in Preview. It has boundaries that are too sharp to be Apple.




The REAL problem here is they screen shots don't really show anything new.

Sure, the bar on the side of Safari is marginally cool. And there seems to be a DashBoard add button which is interesting, but too much is missing.

On a different note, it always cracks me up how people analyze the tiny details to figure out if something is fake.

It's much easier than that:

Think about it this way. If you had access to Leopard, with the new apps, etc., why would you show such minor changes. For example, if you had Tiger, you'd show DashBoard, or automator or something huge which no one has seen before.

You wouldn't show the minor changes to mail or Safari.

This is proven out since the only true leak last year was of Dashboard, just before the release. The entire Mac web wrote it off since it was too dramatic.

But all of the tiny iterations were debated.

Major changes may be real. (This is, after all, the release to attach Vista and embarass Microsoft. Once we see major, dramatic changes, then we should debate. Everything else is photoshop.)

If true (which I doubt), it looks like a 1% change.

I'd quit using Firefox if the visual tabs turn out to be real.

I'd much rather lose the space horizontally than vertically. Which is why my dock is on the right.

I would think that people would obviously know this is fake from the MORE THAN obviously "pasted in" windows icon in the menu bar. lol

Same problem as the previous fakes:

New dummy account recently established: profile is blank, no contacts, no faves, no groups (and ther are several Mac Groups).

Besides, when Apple leaks something, they put it on their website then pull it.

Panther: 150 new features
Tiger: 200 new features
Leopard ??? new features, but sure to be more than the previous two. Photos lack anything of interest...

If those visual tabs turn out to be real, then that can only mean Safari is moving closer and closer to OmniWeb, which is a very good thing (though I personally think that the drawer, which OmniWeb uses, is a better location for such tabs than an in-window 'sidebar').

If Safari caught up with OmniWeb in key areas of functionality (and the tabs are the biggest advantage that keeps me using OmniWeb in favour of Safari most of the time), then I might just end up using Safari as my browser exclusively... (and believe me, I'd like to)

Since this is FAKE, though, it's all academic ¬_¬
