Apple releases Xsan Admin 1.3 Update

Apple today released Xsan Admin 1.3 Update which delivers overall improved reliability for remotely administering, configuring and maintaining Xsan deployments. Apple’s Xsan is an affordable enterprise-class storage area network (SAN) solution that lets multiple computers concurrently access terabytes — even petabytes — of storage on Xserve RAID over high-speed Fibre Channel.

It includes fixes for:
• labeling and initializing Fibre Channel LUNs larger than 2TB in size
• growing Fibre Channel storage pools and volumes
• working with multiple Xsan metadata controllers in a heterogeneous environment
• displaying progress messages while performing lengthy operations
• preventing manually modified configuration settings from being overwritten during a save
• accurately reporting Fibre Channel multipathing errors

System Requirements:
• Mac OS X 10.3.9 (Server or Client)
• Mac OS X 10.4.5 or later (Server or Client)

Alright Apple, where is QuickTime 7.1? Does anyone else notice how badly QuickTime 7 bogs down when it tries to play an HUGE file (> 100 MB in size)? This never happened with QuickTime 6, and I’m still waiting for a fix.
