Produced by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. J.J. Abrams (“Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “Star Trek,” “Lost”), Sara Bareilles, Jessie Nelson (“I Am Sam,” “Stepmom,” “Corrina, Corrina”) and Ben Stephenson (“Westworld”) were executive producers.

Bad Robot also exec produced Apple’s Little Voice, which sources tell THR has been canceled after one season.

MacDailyNews Take: A dubious distinction, but hardly shocking. This is “TV,” so there will be many more cancelations to come and they will greatly outnumber the blockbuster hits.

  1. They failed to support this very sweet and unique series. Biggest mistake was making this as a half hour instead of an hour. 45-50 minutes would have allowed for deeper story telling, character development and a greater understanding of the musical process…and more music! Too bad , good effort.

  2. I liked it. But that doesn’t mean that every TV show must go beyond one season. Some shows are great for running 10 years, some others should have stopped earlier, eg. “How I Met Your Mother” should and could have been told in 3 seasons without missing anything.
